How we make money, and what money can't buy
Five Questions is free to read. Businesses pay for some things. None of them buys a place in the five, changes an answer or changes the order.
What businesses pay for
- Enhanced profiles: more details on the business's own profile, labelled “Enhanced profile”.
- Paid placements: shown outside the five in a dashed box, labelled as paid.
- Contact requests: the business you choose may pay a fee when you send it a request through our form.
What's never for sale
- A place in the five
- The order of answers
- The wording of an answer
How we keep it separate
The people who choose the five don't see sales records, and every paid item carries a visible label on the page.
Money questions
Can a business pay to change its answer?
No. An answer changes only when the owner sends a new one, and the page then shows it as updated, with the date.
Why does a paid placement appear on an interview page?
Because the business paid for that space. It sits outside the five in a dashed box marked as paid, and it has no answers of its own on the page.
Does sending a contact request cost me anything?
No. Some businesses pay us a fee when they receive a request through our form; you never pay.
